Staying Healthy While Working From Home

Working from home as a certified coach or trainer is probably the most enviable of office environments. It can usually allow a certain degree of flexibility in your schedule and the possibility of spending more time with family. However, losing a workplace outside of the home can have a detrimental effect on our health. One of the biggest problems of working from home is inactivity.

Excessive sitting can affect your metabolism, increase blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol and lead to weight gain. Remaining in one posture for hours at a time can also affect the muscles in your back, neck, hip flexors, hamstrings and calves.

Staying Productive While Social Distancing

There’s no disputing that social distancing is vital to curbing the spread of COVID-19. How do you maintain some sense of normalcy during times of crisis, particularly when you’re socially isolated?

The world may have come to a stop, but our need to live a productive life hasn’t. Let’s face it…many of our clients were overbooked and overtaxed before the start of this pandemic. Thanks to orders from top health officials and our government, the marathon of life feels like it has been put on hold. The unsettled nature of this experience makes it challenging for many of your clients to settle into a new routine.
