5 Tips for Using Facebook To Get More Clients

Using-Facebook-To-Get-More-Coaching-Clients-Spencer-InstituteFacebook has many benefits when it comes to attracting more clients for your business. Not only you can connect with your clients on a deeper level, but you can also do it for a fraction of a cost, if not for free. The question is how?

Here are 5 tips for using Facebook to attract more clients:

Remember to Engage

It is not enough to simply sharing your knowledge by writing informative posts about training or nutrition. The key to attracting clients is to engage with your Facebook audience by having an authentic communication with them. You can do so by leaving comments, posting live videos or conducting Q&A sessions that are becoming very popular on social media.

Post Videos

Facebook has become more video-centric, which means that videos are one of the fastest ways to allow your potential clients to find out more about what you do. Write a list of topics that could be interesting to your target audience, e.g. ‘Top 5 exercises for a strong core, “3 meal preparation tips’ etc. and film a series of videos around them. You do not have to do it on a professional camera: a smartphone can produce decent quality videos that can be uploaded to your feed in a matter of a second. Over time you will be able to see which topics are the most popular based on engagement (likes, comments and shares). Important: make sure your video is about 2 minutes long.

Run Challenges

Although this requires slightly more effort and preparation, you can develop a workout and/or a meal plan and invite your followers to do a challenge. Do not forget to encourage participants to share their results, answer their questions and generate a positive attitude. If your profile is not yet popular, you can start running those challenges for free. After they get to know you better and see the results then can become your clients and ask for personalized training or a health consultation.

Share the success stories

Testimonials and real-life cases are the best way to show how cool you are and attract more clients. Post ‘Before/After pictures’ of your clients or ask them to leave a review on your page. You can also use video testimonials to establish credibility and use them in your paid ads to get new clients through the door. Collaboration with famous fitness/nutrition bloggers is another good way to gain credibility: ask them to mention you on their page in exchange for a small fee or a personalized service.

Launch paid campaigns

While the tips above were more focused on the organic, i.e. free ways to attract new clients, you can also run paid campaigns that will allow more people to get to know you. Three most important things when running a Facebook ad are:

  • Using the right creative: Choose an image or video that displays a person who has your audience’s ideal body shape and is doing exercise. Avoid using stock images of a person’s body parts, e.g. glutes or arms.
  • Write an engaging copy: Your sponsored post should have a catchy headline that speaks directly to your reader’s needs. The main body should be short, snappy, and easy to understand – do not try to fit the entire program into it. One way to appeal to customer’s needs is to show them a real benefit they will get after your completing your program.
  • Selecting the right audience: Make sure you select an appropriate audience depending on the service you offer. Think about your target audience’s age, gender, location, as well as interests, such as fitness, health, nutrition, sports, etc. To attract more clients via Facebook, you must ask yourself ‘Why my audience goes to Facebook in the first place?’ Once you learn how to satisfy your followers’ needs and enhance their experience, you can start ‘asking for the businesses with a regular ‘call-to-action and turn them into your clients.

If you are not yet a coach or want to learn additional coaching methods, review the entire list of certification training programs.

It’s that simple!

Student Success Stories

Becoming a Certified Life Strategies Coach at the Spencer Institute has been a great way for me to grow my coaching business. I really liked that I could work full time while learning life coaching on my own time schedule. Now I have coaching clients, and also attract more psychotherapy clients who choose me because I can offer coaching in addition to psychotherapy.
